Originally these were testimonies of the Lord's mighty deeds in our lives while we were in Budapest, as American missionaries. It has since come to include the testimonies of others around the world.
While we were missionaries in Eastern Europe for four and a half years, based in Budapest, Hungary, I had the opportunity to post a number of testimonies of the great things the Lord did in people's lives. Some of them were the testimonies of people I met, which I wanted to publish for the glory of God. Others were testimonies of what the Lord did in my own life while we were there. And now that we are in the States again, I continue to post testimonies of what God is doing, so that He can receive the praise.
I've tried to organize them in some sort of order, beginning with my own testimony of salvation and the salvation of others I know in the left column. In the middle column you will find testimonies of healing, deliverance and protection. In the right hand column, I have posted testimonies of miracles, signs, and wonders, as well as other subjects that did not fit elsewhere.
"Not to us, O LORD, not to us, But to Your name give glory Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth." (Ps 115:1)

"And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of

I would like to share with you a testimony of miraculous healing of a brother in Christ in South Sudan, who had been selected to be the elder for a newly planted church. While he was being mentored by brother Henry, who is one of our DTS graduates and ministry team members, Max was led to join brother Henry for an all-night prayer meeting.
However, when he exited the prayer meeting in the morning, being tired as he was, he walked into the street and was struck by a car, after which he was found laying on the ground unconscious and bleeding with serious injuries. He was brought to the hospital, still unconscious, by our brother Henry on his motorcycle, which the Lord had recently provided for him.
Through the prayers of many around the world, including brother Henry, who was with him, the Lord miraculously healed brother Max. Here is the testimony:
I received the following email on January 23, 2026 from brother Henry:
"Dear bro Len,
"I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
"Prayers are needed for our bro by the name Max, he is one of the committed members in the LTG groups, and I am training him to be one of the elders. Yesterday he came to me at night at around 10:00pm, and he told me the Spirit of God led him to join me in prayers, because the whole of this week I have been sleeping in the church for prayers and fasting. He joined me and he told me God wants us to pray for the body of Christ in South Sudan, that that's what God has put in his heart.
"We prayed with him over the night, and in the morning around 6:00am he left...only for me to get a call from someone with a new number, then the person asked me if I knew Max. Immediately I said, 'Yes,' and then he said I should rush to a place called Jiada within Juba that he is in a critical condition. They got my telephone number from his ID for the church, because he was wearing it.
"When I reached the place, I got him when he is full of blood, and blood is still coming from his mouth and nose. His chin was broken, and some of his teeth were also broken. I began to call his name, but he couldn't talk, since he was unconscious. I prayed with him, and after I put him on my bike with someone helping me, I rushed him to the hospital. Right now we are in the hospital.
"I believe God to give him another chance to live, so that he opens people's eyes to the true gospel of the Lord in the land of South Sudan. I have been engaging him a lot in the ministry to make sure by the grace of God, he can stand in season and out of season.
"Your servant,
Bro Henry."
He later explained further in a subsequent email:
"He was knocked by a speeding car. Thanks for your prayers.
"I have a great testimony from what you shared with us [recently]. [This situation] was really above me, because when I reached him at that place, I felt so weak; but by the grace of God I prayed a prayer and declared by faith that Max will not die, as the enemy has planned, but he will live. After the prayer, I looked at him, and it's like the prayer was not working and his life was going.
"I got very many people around him [since he was unconscious]. Even the person who read his details from the ID to call me was so supportive. But all those who supported in [lifting him onto my bike] were all strangers to me. I didn't know any of them before, but they really helped. That's the reason why none of them risked taking him to hospital by himself, fearing that it will turn against him, because they thought he would not wake up again."
"I rushed him to the hospital, where they tried, but things were still not working. I remembered what you just shared with us, and [you had] told me to try it when I am going to pray. I closed my eyes and from the depth of my heart, I was telling God, 'Let us feel your presence in this place, as a sign of your goodness and mercy.' As I was still closing my eyes, I heard a strong cough. I opened my eyes, and I saw that he was the one [who had coughed]. A lot of blood [suddenly] came from his mouth and nose, then he opened his eyes and called my name. I thank God the brother is alive, but they have recommended that we do some scans which I plan to go for tomorrow."
Brother Henry further explained that when he went to the accident site to pick up brother Max, he was unconscious. He only said he last understood what was happening at the moment of the accident, but from that moment he couldn't tell what had taken place since then. He regained consciousness and came to his senses at the very moment when brother Henry prayed over him in the hospital, asking the Lord for His tangible presence as a sign of His mercy and goodness to him. Up until the moment brother Max coughed up blood, he was still unconscious.
As for his teeth, two of them came out. There are also others which entered the gum, which needed to be pulled out. Plus there were other teeth that were loosened. And then they wired his jaw shut, putting it back in position, which also caused a lot of pain. Besides that, he could not open his mouth well to talk, because his jaw was wired and could not open up properly. Brother Henry then prayed for him as I advised him to pray, and he believes God for great improvement.
Besides his broken chin, he also needed healing in his knee and teeth. It was not yet known during his initial hospitalization that he had also injured his back, but that became apparent later.
The Lord's Miraculous Healing
If brother Max had not been found and taken to the hospital so quickly, he probably would have died laying in the street, suffocating from his own blood obstructing his airways. Since he was unconscious, his protective airway reflexes (like coughing) were not functioning, leading to an obstruction known as aspiration or mechanical asphyxiation. If he wasn't clinically dead already when brother Henry found him, he was probably very close to it!
From the moment that brother Max was hit by the car and knocked to the ground, he was unconscious until the moment at the hospital when brother Henry prayed that special prayer that he had recently been encouraged to pray for the Lord's presence to be manifested. That was the moment at which he coughed up a lot of blood and regained consciousness.
The Lord had recently provided brother Henry with that motorcycle without which he would not have been able to get brother Max to the hospital so quickly. And if someone had not found brother Henry's phone number on the church ID that brother Max was carrying, then they could not have known to reach him or how to do so. So those were all things the Lord provided for.
After several days in the hospital and then several weeks with his jaw being wired shut, he finally got the wires removed. The Lord was gradually healing him, and continues to do so. Brother Henry says, "Even weeks after he was discharged from the hospital, it was difficult for him to sit on the motorcycle alone without someone supporting him from behind." The picture of Max standing above in the white shirt was taken in April 2026, obviously after he had already experienced significant healing.
Then on April 27, 2026, three months after the accident, brother Henry wrote: "I thank God for brother Max (the elder) for the great improvement, but let us pray for him. This week I went with him to Luk Lori, but on reaching [our destination], he was again having a terrible back pain which was not there before. I prayed for him, and by the time we were coming back he was even able to sit on the motorcycle."
On May 5th, brother Henry wrote: "I thank God for the steady progress of healing for bro Max. From the time I prayed for him, he has been receiving healing on a daily basis, he can now bend well without pain."
On June 9th, brother Henry wrote: " I also thank God because bro Max has totally received healing of the back. From that day I prayed with him, he has never gotten any pain again. He is able to bend, which he was unable to do before."
On July 7th, brother Henry informed me that the Lord has healed brother Max from the final areas we had been praying for -- realignment and restoration of full range of motion to his jaw, as well as restoration of damaged teeth. These have been miraculously healed by the Lord, so that when he opens his mouth, his teeth are all fine, and when he speaks, he is clearly understood. Hallelujah!! Praise the Lord!
Closing Words
We give God all the glory for what He did in brother Max's life. He healed his knees, back, and chin. His lower jaw is no longer wired shut and has now received a miraculous adjustment, so that it is aligned with his upper jaw. The three damaged teeth that needed to be healed are all fine now. He also has full range of motion of his lower jaw, so that he can speak clearly. Praise the Lord for the great things He has done for brother Max, and for finishing what He started. By His stripes, brother Max is healed. Amen.

One of our DTS graduates in Uganda, brother Grace Okurut (pictured left), whom I have known for years and consider a faithful brother, shared with me recently this brief testimony about a boy whom he raised from the dead. He said:
"Some years ago, when I was praying and fasting at my sister's home, someone from her husband's village picked them [came to get them], for a young boy had died. I prayed, 'Lord, if you are going to use me, raise the young man back to life.' When they came back, they reported that the boy had resurrected! And this happened from Gogonyo village of Pallisa district. I gave God all the glory."
Hallelujah! They did not bring the dead boy to him, and he never saw the boy, but remotely prayed and fasted for him to be resurrected, and the Lord brought him back to life. It was no mere coincidence that the people from her husband's village happened to come to his door to get him about the dead boy, but was obviously the Lord who directed them to do so, since brother Grace was there fasting and praying. Praise the Lord! All things are possible with God and for him who believes -- even raising the dead.

During my prayer time, I felt led to call brother Grace in Uganda and have him get Rose (pictured left with her husband) on the phone, so I could pray for her to be healed from the blood clot in her leg that she has had for several weeks, which we have been praying for. She was readmitted to the hospital in serious condition a couple days ago. She is the hostess for the Awoja, Uganda fellowship that bro Grace planted a couple months ago, and this attack came in direct response to her hosting the new church. The doctors drew blood from that swollen, hard leg a couple days ago, and were shocked to find that it was thick, black blood like that of a dead person. So after my prayer time, I called and told him what I wanted to do. He said that he was going to ask me to do that very same thing, so we knew that this was the Lord leading us.
We as a family then called brother Grace and had him get sister Rose on the phone with us. So we prayed for her on the phone, as her 21-year-old daughter Brenda, who is a believer in Jesus Christ, laid hands on her swollen leg. As we prayed, the power of God fell upon both sister Rose and sister Brenda, so that Brenda’s hand and whole body began to shake, she saw fire as I prayed, and Rose’s leg grew hot. As we were praying, sister Rose felt the blood flowing up her leg into her hip, and it felt warm. As sister Brenda was laying hands on her mother’s leg, she also felt a pain in her own stomach, so we had her lay hands on her mother’s stomach and we prayed for that to be healed as well. We praised God for her healing, and encouraged sister Rose to continue declaring, “Jesus, by your stripes, I’m healed.” We told her not to accept any bad reports from the doctors, because she will not die but live and tell what the Lord has done. Both I and Jennifer felt the presence of the Lord as we prayed for her today on the phone.
After the call, I sent an email to bro Grace giving glory to God, and he replied with “Hallelujah!” He then wrote:
”Hi brother Len,
When you were praying, my wife and sister Vicky who were in another room felt the power of God moving powerfully in their lives! I too felt the power of God! We thank God, Blessings, br Grace.”
On Friday, April 24, 2026, four days after we prayed for sister Rose, I got the following message from brother Grace:
"Praise the Lord brother!
I called brother Julius, the husband to sister Rose this morning and talked to her. She told me the [medical] report says there is no more blood clot in the leg, except the lower leg, between the knee and the ankle. It is still swollen, hard and painful. The doctor has advised that she does exercise to restore it to its rightful position and functionality.
NB: The prayer you made worked a miracle to destroy the clot! She had unusual feelings in the entire leg, like the flow of blood for two good days. Let's continue in prayer for total recovery of the leg where there will be no more pain, the muscles to start normal functioning and straightening, etc."
I received the following message from brother Grace a few days later after sister Rose was discharged from the hospital and he visited her home. He followed my advice and he with the elders prayed over her again. Here is what he wrote:
"We are here with the family and her husband bro Julius...everything you asked was carried out. The Lord is leading you; a notable miracle has occurred!"
"Also we're praying against witchcraft. Today before we set out to come to Rose, the Lord showed me a big black snake in her bedroom. We have prayed as per your guidance, anointed her and her property in the Name of the Lord, hoping for the best!! By the end of prayer she has been able to stand on her own and trying to walk."
When I asked brother Grace if the doctor had done an ultrasound on the leg to confirm that the clot is no longer there, he verified that yes, an ultrasound was done which confirmed there is no longer any clot in the leg.
We give God all the praise and honor and glory for what He did in sister Rose's life.
Jesus said, "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." (Mar 16:17-18).
Update on May 23, 2026:
Brother Grace wrote: "Sister Rose had collapsed 2 days ago at 1:30 PM unexpectedly, she fell down, unconscious for minutes! She got a different attack this time around where she was feeling too cold and shivering. Her daughters immediately called me for prayer on phone; I then asked Brenda to lay hands on her heart, within minutes she started vomiting out long sticky saliva, and later was able to sit. By today when I called she sounds strong and excited! She says even her leg is getting quite better, she exercises walking on her own, so we thank God."
Update on June 9, 2026
I received the following update from brother Grace on June 9, 2026: "Sister Rose is recovering well, we thank God."

Two days ago, I had received the following text message from my sister Janet on the morning of Wednesday, April 15th, who was diagnosed a few years ago with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD):
”I’ve had shortness of breath these last few days Which isn’t so good with my COPD. I’ve been holding off from calling the doctor and am using my inhalers to help with breathing. I’ve had a cold settled in my lungs which doesn’t help. Asking for prayer. Thank you . Love, Janet.”
I replied saying I was praying for her and that we’d also be lifting her up in prayer that evening in our family prayer meeting.
This morning, I received a text from her saying, “Hi Len...Just letting you know you my breathing seems like it’s improving.!!! Thank you all for prayers.”
So I asked her to call me from her landline, since her cell was not working. When she did, I began by telling her that the condition she has is not COPD, but BHSIH, By His Stripes I’m Healed. She said that she has been declaring that exact promise to Him just to make it up the stairs. She would stop in the stairs and say, “Lord Jesus, by your stripes I’m healed.” That’s according to 1 Pe 2:24. So that was a word of knowledge the Lord gave me for her in order to encourage her and build up her faith. I told her the Lord was pleased with her faith and wanted her to know that, so that’s why He had me say that to her. I then encouraged her with other Scripture promises for healing, in order to further build her faith. Then I broke all curses related to her past years of smoking that she had already been forgiven for and delivered from. I bound and rebuked COPD and commanded it to come out of her and return to the pit. I then asked for a gift of healing from the Lord and the miracle of a new respiratory system from heaven’s body parts warehouse to be given to her by a healing angel. I pleaded the blood of Jesus upon her and had her place her hand upon her chest as I was praying for her in order for the healing power of God to flow. I felt the presence of the Lord as I prayed for her to be healed. Afterward she said there were tears streaming down her face and that when I prayed, she “felt something happen.” We then worshipped the Lord with the Hallelujah chorus, first with the word “Hallelujah” and then with “I am healed now, I am healed now”. She said, “Thank you, Lord Jesus, for healing me.”
The next day, I texted Janet to ask how her breathing is doing, and she replied, “It’s like a complete turn around. I slept great and breathing is getting better everyday! I keep declaring Is 53:5”
We give God all the glory for the miraculous healing in her life.

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, I received the following email from brother Grace in Uganda (pictured left), one of our ministry partners there, saying that he was sick and unable to do his planned evangelistic outreach that day, which he'd been carrying out with his team all across Uganda since late August:
"Greetings brother, I'm unable to send the report today; most of us in our team have fallen sick, therefore there was no harvest today. We shall resume on Monday. I'm shivering and feverish, with no appetite. But we serve a big God who saves us from the enemy's attacks!
God bless you"
After reading his email, I first prayed for him, then prayed for the healing power of God to come upon me, so that I could pray for him over the phone. I then called brother Grace and prayed for him. As I did so, I could feel the presence of the Lord upon me. The power of God fell on him, too. Tears were streaming down his face, and it was too much for him to contain, as he received a mighty touch from the Lord; and all the pain he had throughout his body, including the headache, completely left him.
Afterward, while we were still on the phone, he testified as to what happened and said, "I'm healed." He was praising God profusely. All glory be to God alone forever. Amen.
I later received the following message from brother Grace on Monday, October 6th. He wrote:
"Today, I thank God for the gift of life and His hand of healing upon my life! When you prayed with me; too much power from the Lord came upon me, I spoke in tongues with yelling, tears, and much joy. I'm completely healed. Every symptom is completely healed, my brother. God is great! I'm able to travel and preach the gospel."
Closing Words
Only the Lord can do miracles such as this, and He gets all the glory for what He did in brother Grace's life. Paraphrasing the apostle Peter, I, too, say as he did that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has glorified his servant Jesus. By faith in the name of Jesus, brother Grace was miraculously made well. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him. (see Act 3:13-16). Hallelujah!

On March 13, 2012, I showed some videos to my wife
and children, regarding gemstones from heaven, as well as others of gold dust, oil from
heaven, manna from heaven, and the Lord’s glory cloud appearing in church
meetings. I then taught them about the link between the physical and spiritual
realms, and later posted a blog about it that I encourage you to read (see here).
Glory of God
On March 18, 2012, at 2:30 AM, I was lying on my back on my
bed, and I had a dream. In the dream, I was in the same bedroom, lying on my
back on my bed. The only thing in the
dream that was different than reality was that, in the dream, our three-year
old son was in his crib in our bedroom. He was awake and indicated that he was
aware of the presence of a (holy) entity right next to my bed in our room. At that moment, I suddenly felt the presence
of the Lord standing right next to my bed, but I did not see anyone. There was an overwhelming sense of God’s
presence upon me. I immediately felt
“terrified,” “afraid,” and “overcome with fear”. I was also completely astounded. In other words, I was filled
with the emotional impact of overwhelming surprise or shock.
In the dream, as I looked toward the presence of the holy
entity (perhaps the Lord), I cried out very loudly. I am not sure whether I cried, “Ohhhhhh!!!!!” or “Woe!!!!!” But when I cried out, I was
awakened by the sound of my own voice.
Once I awoke, I remembered how the prophet Daniel fell at
his feet as a dead man. I remembered
how the disciples were afraid and they cried out with fear when they saw
Jesus. They were afraid. I was, too.
Then I felt the glory of God. I realized that what happened in the dream had actually happened
in the room, and that the Lord’s presence was still there. I got up and worshipped the Lord on my knees
beside my bed in the very spot where the presence had been in the dream. I still physically felt a sense of the presence
upon me, but not in an overwhelming way like it was in the dream.
In the morning, I shared this with the family at breakfast
and looked up the passage about Daniel.
I immediately related to the terror, and Jennifer agreed that what I
described was similar to this. She
reminded me that even Isaiah and Zechariah felt this way. She said that when
she awoke during the night while I was worshipping beside my bed, she felt joy,
peace and love inside her heart.
Here are the Scriptures I was pondering as I lay in bed
immediately after the dream, plus a couple more about Isaiah and Zechariah.
“Now I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, while the men who were
with me did not see the vision; nevertheless, a great dread fell on them,
and they ran away to hide themselves. So I was left alone and saw this great
vision; yet no strength was left in me, for my natural color turned to a
deathly pallor, and I retained no strength. But I heard the sound of his
words; and as soon as I heard the sound of his words, I fell into a deep sleep
on my face, with my face to the ground. Then behold, a hand touched me and set
me trembling on my hands and knees. He said to me, "O Daniel, man
of high esteem, understand the words that I am about to tell you and stand
upright, for I have now been sent to you." And when he had spoken this
word to me, I stood up trembling. Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid,
Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this
and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have
come in response to your words.” (Dan 10:7-12)
In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth
came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its
strength. When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He
placed His right hand on me, saying, "Do not be afraid; I am the
first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive
forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades. (Rev 1:16-18)
When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were
terrified, and said, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out in fear.
But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Take courage, it is I; do
not be afraid." (Mat 14:26-27)
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed
them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, "This is My beloved Son,
with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!" When the disciples heard
this, they fell face down to the ground and were terrified. And Jesus
came to them and touched them and said, "Get up, and do not be afraid."
(Mat 17:5-7)
The prophet Isaiah had a similar experience. “Then I said, ‘Woe
is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live
among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of
hosts.’” (Isa 6:5)
And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the
right of the altar of incense. Zacharias was troubled when he saw the angel,
and fear gripped him. But the angel said to him, "Do not be
afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife
Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John. (Luk
1:11-13).
Open Heavens
On March 19, 2012, during our family prayer meeting, we
experienced an open heaven over us and I felt the presence of the Lord.

The next morning on March 20, 2012, during my personal
morning prayer time, I sensed the presence of the Lord once again.
Crystal Gems from Heaven
After our Morning Prayer and breakfast, Jennifer discovered
a supernatural gem in our bedroom (more photos at end of this post). She said, “I was thinking about going to heaven and people that I
want to see. I thought that I just want
to get rid of everything – all the worthless things of this earth – and leave
it all behind for the Lord’s sake. So I
was cleaning out the shelf in our bedroom closet, and I got to where my basket
was. I moved my basket and there was a
little, crystal-like gem. I immediately
thought it was a supernatural gem from heaven.
As I looked more closely at how it was shaped and it seemed to have a
perfect cut with many facets. Then I
walked into the kitchen thinking that this is really from the Lord.”
As I was sitting at the table, finishing my breakfast, she
walked in and said to me, “Look what I found in my closet! I think it may be a
jewel from heaven!” And she handed it
to me. As she placed the gem in my
hand, I felt the presence of the Lord all over me. I said, “Jennifer, I can feel the presence of the Lord all over
me right now! The Lord gave you this to show you how much He loves you!”
A little while later, she was back in our bedroom again,
drying her hair, and looked over at another shelf in the closet. She wondered whether she might find
something else in there. Then she turned away from the closet, and pondered how
the Lord has been giving supernatural gems to His people in the US, Africa, and
other places. She wondered if He was
going to do the same thing here in this spiritual wasteland, because the glory
of God needs to come. She said, “As I
once again turned back toward the closet, there on the floor lay another
crystal-like gem. It was laying
perfectly face up in the carpet.”
I was in my office when Jennifer came in and shouted,
“Len! Look!” And she showed me in her
hand a gem just like the first one, which was larger, but had the exact same
cut! We went into the bedroom, and she
showed me where she found it. It had
been on the floor, in the exact center of the spot where the glory of God
appeared two nights ago. Then we were
certain it was from the Lord. As we
looked at it in the light under a magnifying glass, it had a perfect cut with
many facets. When we put the smaller
one beside it, we could see that they were both cut exactly alike. As I held them in the palm of my hand and
looked through the magnifying glass, I could see the details of my palm print
perfectly and clearly through the stone.
I said, “Jennifer, I felt the presence of the Lord when you
placed the first one in my hand earlier.
I know this is from the Lord.”
Then we all knelt down and praised the Lord profusely, not for any thing
he could give us, but for Who He is. We
declared that He is more beautiful than diamonds, more precious than silver,
more costly than gold, and nothing that we desire compared with Him.
She said that as she was praying yesterday, she heard the
Lord say, “It is my Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Last night as she was going off to bed, she
thought that she would need to use our electronic Bible to find that
passage. She opened the Bible and read
a passage. At the end of the passage,
she read, "But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you. Do
not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the
kingdom.” (Luk 12:31-32). She said,
“Wow! That’s the verse!” And she hadn’t
even gone searching for it. She wasn’t
actively looking for it. So that
confirmed it had been the Lord speaking this to her. So when these gems appeared this morning, it further confirmed
that the Father has chosen to give us the kingdom.
When she tried placing the gem back into the carpet in the
same position it was in when she found it, she could not get it to sit
perfectly upright like it had been when she found it. She commented later, “It’s the latter rain! It’s raining!” We also tried dropping it from eye level onto the carpet and it always bounced away.
As I studied the Word of God afterward, I felt this passage
best describes these stones: “And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper." (Rev 21:10-11). The holy city has the glory of God and brilliance like crystal-clear jasper. Jasper is quartz, and the stones Jennifer received are like crystal clear quartz, as pictured at the end of the Wikipedia article about quartz.
The Lord Himself is "like a jasper stone," as He sits upon His throne. In John's Revelation, he wrote: "And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance." (Rev 4:3) According to a commentary on Revelation by Dr. Oliver B. Green, he states: ""The Jasper, the last stone in the Old Testament breastplate, represented Benjamin. This was a clear stone, speaking of total victory. On the Jasper stone was Benjamin's name, which is a combination of two Hebrew words (BEN and JAMIN), so scholars tell us, meaning 'the son of my right hand'...or, as one authority puts it, 'the son of my power.'"
I checked online to see the difference between crystal and
glass. All crystal is glass, but only
certain types of glass can be classified as crystal. It has to do with the higher lead content of crystal. Glass typically has a yellow or green tint,
while crystal is completely clear. Glass often has sharp cuts, while crystal
has smooth, rounded cuts.
These stones the Lord has given us do not have sharp edges. They have
smooth, rounded cuts. Both stones are identical with eight facets, one stone being larger than the other. They don’t have any
yellow or green tint to them, but are perfectly clear with no inclusions or cloudiness. We believe they are crystal clear quartz.
Later in the afternoon, I spoke by phone with my Christian
cousin, back in the States, who is a certified gemologist. I told him about these and he said that if I
place the stones face down on a printed page, such as a magazine, and can read
the text, then they are not diamonds.
He said that when it is a diamond, you couldn’t read the text through
the stone. He asked me to take a photo
and send it to him. So rather than use
just any text, I decided to use God’s Word, in order to take a photo of the
stones face-down on some text. I opened Jennifer’s Bible to Proverbs 8,where it
was book marked, and I placed the stones right on the verse that says,
"Take my instruction and not silver, And knowledge rather than choicest
gold. For wisdom is better than jewels; And all desirable things cannot compare
with her.” (Prov 8:10-11). We were
unable to read the text through the stones.
It was distorted. I took the
photos and some video footage of it to send to my cousin. He wrote back saying his first impression is
that these are glass jewels.
When Jennifer saw the Scripture beneath the stones, she was
amazed and said that was the very chapter she was praying about yesterday! She had been praying with her Bible open to
that very same page. Proverbs 8:11
states, “Wisdom is better than jewels!”
Then Hope came to me and said that in school today, she had
just read the following words in the spiritual warfare chapter of her Health
textbook: “Solomon describes wisdom as better than rubies or anything else we
might desire in this world.” This is a
paraphrase of Proverbs 8:11!
Here is the entire passage that Jennifer read last night,
containing Jesus’ word about the Father giving us the kingdom: Then He said to them,
"Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even
when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions."
And He told them a parable, saying, "The land of a rich man was very
productive. "And he began reasoning to himself, saying, 'What shall I do,
since I have no place to store my crops?' "Then he said, 'This is what I
will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will
store all my grain and my goods. 'And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have
many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be
merry."' "But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your
soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?' "So
is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."
And He said to His disciples, "For this reason I say to you, do not
worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what
you will put on. "For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
"Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no
storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than
the birds! "And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his
life's span? "If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you
worry about other matters? "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they
neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory
clothed himself like one of these. "But if God so clothes the grass in the
field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much
more will He clothe you? You men of little faith! "And do not seek what
you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying. "For all
these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that
you need these things.” (Luk 12:15-30)
I told Jennifer that these stones are probably of no earthly
value, but only eternal value to those with the eyes of faith. It’s just like anything the Lord gives. The world places no value on the spiritual
things, because the natural man cannot discern them. For example, if I go to a public speaking expert and share my
testimony, he will evaluate it based on his criteria for a good speech. He may tell me that my speech is too long,
or I use the word “Umm,” too often. He
may rate other aspects of it, and tell me that no one would ever pay anything
to hear me give this speech. In his
estimation, my testimony is completely worthless. Yet to me, and all who hear it with the ears of faith, it is
priceless. No man can ever place a
monetary value on my testimony, yet it has eternal value that is greater than
all the riches this world could afford. Isn’t it the same with all the Lord
gives us?

Do You Want to Know Him?
If you want to know Jesus personally, you can. It all begins when you

I met a wonderful man today named Ekale from Cameroon. He has a joyful spirit and loves to laugh. He is a professional football player, known in the US as soccer. He used to play for the junior national team in Cameroon, Africa. Then he came to Hungary and played for the Ujpest team. Today he shared with me his testimony, and I want to share it with you. He said:
“I came to Hungary and I didn’t know the Lord. I was living in darkness. I mean I went as low as you can go into sin. And I began to have chronic pain in my legs. I went to many different doctors and they tried different medications, but nothing would help me. Most of the medications just caused more health problems for me. So the doctors didn’t know what to do. None of them knew what was wrong with me. This went on for eight years! In the end, the doctors said they would need to amputate one of my legs! They said that the following year they would probably need to cut the other leg off, too!”
The photo below shows the sad condition Ekale was in for so many years. The other photos he sent me show the grotesque disfigurement that this terrible illness did to his body. He told me that it wasn't just his legs. Each day it seemed that he would notice the disease spreading to some other area of his body. It was mainly attacking his spine, but other areas of his body were decaying as well.
He went on to say, “Then a friend of mine from Ghana, who was not even a Christian believer, told me that if I want to be healed, I should go to the International Church of Budapest. I didn’t know Jesus, but I went there. I had a little seed of faith in my heart that God would heal me. At the church, they prayed for me, and God completely healed me. Later after they shared the gospel with me, I gave my life to Jesus. And now for eight years I have had no pain in my legs at all, and I am free of medication. Praise God!”
Today Ekale is a walking testimony to the miracle power of Jesus Christ. To see him, you would never know that he was once so ill. He told me that when he visited the International Church of Budapest he did not believe in Jesus. But he did believe that if they prayed for him that he would be healed. Later, a man named Ebenezer from the church continued to stay in touch with Ekale. He shared the gospel with him and Ekale eventually repented of the way he was living in darkness. He departed from his hedonistic lifestyle and gave his life to the Lord. What an amazing miracle God did in his life.
Perhaps you are in pain and need the Lord to heal you. Jesus Christ loves you and knows about your problem. If you will cry out to him right now in faith believing, He can heal you. But even more importantly than that, He will save your soul, if you will repent of your sin and ask Him to forgive you.
