Jewish Synagogue in Budapest

While we were missionaries in Eastern Europe for four and a half years, based in Budapest, Hungary, I had the opportunity to post a number of testimonies of the great things the Lord did in people's lives.  Some of them were the testimonies of people I met, which I wanted to publish for the glory of God.  Others were testimonies of what the Lord did in my own life while we were there.  And now that we are in the States again, I continue to post testimonies of what God is doing, so that He can receive the praise.

I've tried to organize them in some sort of order, beginning with my own testimony of salvation and the salvation of others I know in the left column.  In the middle column you will find testimonies of healing, deliverance and protection.  In the right hand column, I have posted testimonies of miracles, signs, and wonders, as well as other subjects that did not fit elsewhere.

Notable Miracles in Uganda

One of our DTS graduates in Uganda, brother Grace Okurut (pictured left), whom I have known for years and consider a faithful brother, shared with me recently this brief testimony about some notable miracles he has seen the Lord doing there. Some of this was in the context of our discussion about the song I produced, called Voices of Africa Rising, regarding the mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit we have seen in Africa through his ministry, and the other members of our A-Team. He said:

"Brother Len,

I was in the garden last year digging with my wife in Anyara. A woman by the name of Rose came to us carrying a grand daughter of hers, whose mother passed on years ago. She told us the girl was crippled, and this fact we knew since we had been seeing her. I reached out, touched the girl, and prayed. The crippled girl walked after some days! She is very perfect now! We praise the Lord!

And in addition several years ago, I was invited to Eldoret Kenya for a conference by a pastor friend called Chris. I was not among the speakers, but was asked on the last day to close the meeting with a word of prayer. While stepping forward I realized much anointing of healing fell upon me, I called the sick people in front. Several got healed, and notably there was a deaf and mute boy who got healed and delivered instantly. The miracles that happened within minutes changed the whole story about the conference! We give God all the glory"

Praise the Lord! All things are possible with God and for him who believes -- even the lame walking, the deaf hearing, and the mute speaking. In fact, he has even seen the Lord raise the dead once, for which we give God all the glory (see Boy Raised from the Dead). All of this is done in the all-powerful name of Jesus Christ and by faith in His name.

Miraculously Healed from Auto Accident Injuries

I would like to share with you a testimony of miraculous healing of a brother in Christ in South Sudan, who had been selected to be the elder for a newly planted church. While he was being mentored by brother Henry, who is one of our DTS graduates and ministry team members, Max was led to join brother Henry for an all-night prayer meeting. 

However, when he exited the prayer meeting in the morning, being tired as he was, he walked into the street and was struck by a car, after which he was found laying on the ground unconscious and bleeding with serious injuries. He was brought to the hospital, still unconscious, by our brother Henry on his motorcycle, which the Lord had recently provided for him. 

Through the prayers of many around the world, including brother Henry, who was with him, the Lord miraculously healed brother Max. Here is the testimony: 

I received the following email on January 23, 2026 from brother Henry:

"Dear bro Len,

"I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"Prayers are needed for our bro by the name Max, he is one of the committed members in the LTG groups, and I am training him to be one of the elders. Yesterday he came to me at night at around 10:00pm, and he told me the Spirit of God led him to join me in prayers, because the whole of this week I have been sleeping in the church for prayers and fasting. He joined me and he told me God wants us to pray for the body of Christ in South Sudan, that that's what God has put in his heart. 

"We prayed with him over the night, and in the morning around 6:00am he left...only for me to get a call from someone with a new number, then the person asked me if I knew Max. Immediately I said, 'Yes,' and then he said I should rush to a place called Jiada within Juba that he is in a critical condition. They got my telephone number from his ID for the church, because he was wearing it. 

"When I reached the place, I got him when he is full of blood, and blood is still coming from his mouth and nose. His chin was broken, and some of his teeth were also broken. I began to call his name, but he couldn't talk, since he was unconscious. I prayed with him, and after I put him on my bike with someone helping me, I rushed him to the hospital. Right now we are in the hospital.

"I believe God to give him another chance to live, so that he opens people's eyes to the true gospel of the Lord in the land of South Sudan. I have been engaging him a lot in the ministry to make sure by the grace of God, he can stand in season and out of season.

"Your servant,

Bro Henry."

He later explained further in a subsequent email:

 

"He was knocked by a speeding car. Thanks for your prayers. 

 

"I have a great testimony from what you shared with us [recently]. [This situation] was really above me, because when I reached him at that place, I felt so weak; but by the grace of God I prayed a prayer and declared by faith that Max will not die, as the enemy has planned, but he will live. After the prayer, I looked at him, and it's like the prayer was not working and his life was going. 

"I got very many people around him [since he was unconscious]. Even the person who read his details from the ID to call me was so supportive. But all those who supported in [lifting him onto my bike] were all strangers to me. I didn't know any of them before, but they really helped. That's the reason why none of them risked taking him to hospital by himself, fearing that it will turn against him, because they thought he would not wake up again."

 

"I rushed him to the hospital, where they tried, but things were still not working. I remembered what you just shared with us, and [you had] told me to try it when I am going to pray. I closed my eyes and from the depth of my heart, I was telling God, 'Let us feel your presence in this place, as a sign of your goodness and mercy.' As I was still closing my eyes, I heard a strong cough. I opened my eyes, and I saw that he was the one [who had coughed]. A lot of blood [suddenly] came from his mouth and nose, then he opened his eyes and called my name. I thank God the brother is alive, but they have recommended that we do some scans which I plan to go for tomorrow."

 

Brother Henry further explained that when he went to the accident site to pick up brother Max, he was unconscious. He only said he last understood what was happening at the moment of the accident, but from that moment he couldn't tell what had taken place since then. He regained consciousness and came to his senses at the very moment when brother Henry prayed over him in the hospital, asking the Lord for His tangible presence as a sign of His mercy and goodness to him. Up until the moment brother Max coughed up blood, he was still unconscious.

 

As for his teeth, two of them came out. There are also others which entered the gum, which needed to be pulled out. Plus there were other teeth that were loosened. And then they wired his jaw shut, putting it back in position, which also caused a lot of pain. Besides that, he could not open his mouth well to talk, because his jaw was wired and could not open up properly. Brother Henry then prayed for him as I advised him to pray, and he believes God for great improvement.

Besides his broken chin, he also needed healing in his knee and teeth. It was not yet known during his initial hospitalization that he had also injured his back, but that became apparent later.

The Lord's Miraculous Healing

If brother Max had not been found and taken to the hospital so quickly, he probably would have died laying in the street, suffocating from his own blood obstructing his airways. Since he was unconscious, his protective airway reflexes (like coughing) were not functioning, leading to an obstruction known as aspiration or mechanical asphyxiation. If he wasn't clinically dead already when brother Henry found him, he was probably very close to it!

From the moment that brother Max was hit by the car and knocked to the ground, he was unconscious until the moment at the hospital when brother Henry prayed that special prayer that he had recently been encouraged to pray for the Lord's presence to be manifested. That was the moment at which he coughed up a lot of blood and regained consciousness. 

The Lord had recently provided brother Henry with that motorcycle without which he would not have been able to get brother Max to the hospital so quickly. And if someone had not found brother Henry's phone number on the church ID that brother Max was carrying, then they could not have known to reach him or how to do so. So those were all things the Lord provided for.

After several days in the hospital and then several weeks with his jaw being wired shut, he finally got the wires removed. The Lord was gradually healing him, and continues to do so. Brother Henry says, "Even weeks after he was discharged from the hospital, it was difficult for him to sit on the motorcycle alone without someone supporting him from behind." The picture of Max standing above in the white shirt was taken in April 2026, obviously after he had already experienced significant healing.

Then on April 27, 2026, three months after the accident, brother Henry wrote: "I thank God for brother Max (the elder) for the great improvement, but let us pray for him. This week I went with him to Luk Lori, but on reaching [our destination], he was again having a terrible back pain which was not there before. I prayed for him, and by the time we were coming back he was even able to sit on the motorcycle."

On May 5th, brother Henry wrote: "I thank God for the steady progress of healing for bro Max. From the time I prayed for him, he has been receiving healing on a daily basis, he can now bend well without pain." 

On June 9th, brother Henry wrote: " I also thank God because bro Max has totally received healing of the back. From that day I prayed with him, he has never gotten any pain again. He is able to bend, which he was unable to do before." 

Closing Words

We give God all the glory for what He did in brother Max's life. Although his knees, back, and chin are now healed, and his jaw is no longer wired shut, his lower jaw still needs a miraculous adjustment, so that it is aligned with his upper jaw. Plus there are still three damaged teeth that need to be healed. He also needs the Lord to increase the range of motion of his lower jaw, so that he can speak more clearly. This will come in time with physical therapy and prayer for him. Praise the Lord for the great things He has done for brother Max, and we trust in Him to finish what He has started. By His stripes, brother Max is healed. Amen.

Woman Healed of Blood Clot

During my prayer time, I felt led to call brother Grace in Uganda and have him get Rose (pictured left with her husband) on the phone, so I could pray for her to be healed from the blood clot in her leg that she has had for several weeks, which we have been praying for. She was readmitted to the hospital in serious condition a couple days ago. She is the hostess for the Awoja, Uganda fellowship that bro Grace planted a couple months ago, and this attack came in direct response to her hosting the new church. The doctors drew blood from that swollen, hard leg a couple days ago, and were shocked to find that it was thick, black blood like that of a dead person. So after my prayer time, I called and told him what I wanted to do. He said that he was going to ask me to do that very same thing, so we knew that this was the Lord leading us. 

We as a family then called brother Grace and had him get sister Rose on the phone with us. So we prayed for her on the phone, as her 21-year-old daughter Brenda, who is a believer in Jesus Christ, laid hands on her swollen leg. As we prayed, the power of God fell upon both sister Rose and sister Brenda, so that Brenda’s hand and whole body began to shake, she saw fire as I prayed, and Rose’s leg grew hot. As we were praying, sister Rose felt the blood flowing up her leg into her hip, and it felt warm. As sister Brenda was laying hands on her mother’s leg, she also felt a pain in her own stomach, so we had her lay hands on her mother’s stomach and we prayed for that to be healed as well. We praised God for her healing, and encouraged sister Rose to continue declaring, “Jesus, by your stripes, I’m healed.” We told her not to accept any bad reports from the doctors, because she will not die but live and tell what the Lord has done. Both I and Jennifer felt the presence of the Lord as we prayed for her today on the phone. 

After the call, I sent an email to bro Grace giving glory to God, and he replied with “Hallelujah!” He then wrote: 

”Hi brother Len, 

When you were praying, my wife and sister Vicky who were in another room felt the power of God moving powerfully in their lives! I too felt the power of God! We thank God, Blessings, br Grace.”

On Friday, April 24, 2026, four days after we prayed for sister Rose, I got the following message from brother Grace:

"Praise the Lord brother!

I called brother Julius, the husband to sister Rose this morning and talked to her. She told me the [medical] report says there is no more blood clot in the leg, except the lower leg, between the knee and the ankle. It is still swollen, hard and painful. The doctor has advised that she does exercise to restore it to its rightful position and functionality. 

NB: The prayer you made worked a miracle to destroy the clot! She had unusual feelings in the entire leg, like the flow of blood for two good days. Let's continue in prayer for total recovery of the leg where there will be no more pain, the muscles to start normal functioning and straightening, etc."

I received the following message from brother Grace a few days later after sister Rose was discharged from the hospital and he visited her home. He followed my advice and he with the elders prayed over her again. Here is what he wrote:

"We are here with the family and her husband bro Julius...everything you asked was carried out. The Lord is leading you; a notable miracle has occurred!" 

"Also we're praying against witchcraft.  Today before we set out to come to Rose, the Lord showed me a big black snake in her bedroom. We have prayed as per your guidance, anointed her and her property in the Name of the Lord, hoping for the best!! By the end of prayer she has been able to stand on her own and trying to walk." 

When I asked brother Grace if the doctor had done an ultrasound on the leg to confirm that the clot is no longer there, he verified that yes, an ultrasound was done which confirmed there is no longer any clot in the leg.

We give God all the praise and honor and glory for what He did in sister Rose's life.

Jesus said, "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." (Mar 16:17-18). 

Update on May 23, 2026:

Brother Grace wrote: "Sister Rose had collapsed 2 days ago at 1:30 PM unexpectedly, she fell down, unconscious for minutes! She got a different attack this time around where she was feeling too cold and shivering. Her daughters immediately called me for prayer on phone; I then asked Brenda to lay hands on her heart, within minutes she started vomiting out long sticky saliva, and later was able to sit. By today when I called she sounds strong and excited! She says even her leg is getting quite better, she exercises walking on her own, so we thank God." 

Update on June 9, 2026

I received the following update from brother Grace on June 9, 2026: "Sister Rose is recovering well, we thank God."

Amazing Healing and Deliverance in Uganda

One of our graduates from our Doulos Training School (DTS), who is now on staff with our ministry in Uganda shared the following testimony of several healing and deliverance miracles. Brother Grace wrote on February 14th:

Dear brother Len, glad to hear from you! 

Amazing testimonies; just to single out a few among many: 

1. A lady came to the house of prayer requesting us to pray for her daughter who couldn't make it to the place of prayer; the severe pain in the legs of Joyce left instantly the same time we were praying (John 4:50-53). 

2. Richard from Kalaki district had a problem of witchcraft, where demons used to stone his house tops and several times attempting to target family members especially at night. When he called for prayer on phone, the Lord showed me two birds leave and fly away from his compound. No more sign of witchcraft in his home. 

3. Margaret in Ngora district last Friday was in a dying point, suffering from serious headache, fever, cough and general body pain; she couldn't talk, stand, eat etc. Her daughter called, and after a short prayer on phone, she was completely healed. 

4. Florence had marriage issues with her husband for long. Some months ago she came to our house for prayer help. Florence yesterday confessed that she despised our prayer, saying in her heart "this place is not a Church building, I am not convinced their prayer can avail anything." Just yesterday in our Sunday service she came with another lady who also wanted prayer for her marriage. Florence testifies that her [own] husband came back immediately after the prayer made; they have total peace now. 

5. Sister Angela had been chased away by her husband and was living with her 4 children in her sister's home for 6 years. After prayer, the same week her husband came back apologizing; their marriage now is very stable. These are just a few among many cases of marriage restoration testimonies that the Lord has handled. 

6. I have a neighbor here, Sam. His wife asked us to go and share prayer with him; I hesitated, but later that evening went with one sister. Sam was bedridden and was helped to the sitting room by three people. He couldn't talk, sit, eat or drink. Sam was crying with severe cough, headache, high temperature etc (all covid 19 symptoms). After that prayer he smiled, walked out, and took tea. 

When I went back home I fell very sick with my wife, with signs of the illness. I remember sharing this with brother Len. At that time of prayer with brother Len, the Lord healed us! 

A few days later, when I went to check on Sam, he testified that he had covid 19, and is now very fine. 

Brother Len, there are many more healings and deliverances the Lord has done and will keep on sending their testimonies to you. All the glory and honor belong to Him!

Closing Words

Are you in need of healing in your body? Do you need deliverance? Is your marriage in trouble? There is hope for you today through the power of Jesus Christ. He is the answer.

"With God all things are possible." (Mat 19:26b). All you need to do is ask Him for it by faith, and be sure you have forgiven anyone whom you are holding anything against. And ask the Lord to forgive all your sins for Christ's sake, because He paid the penalty for you already on the cross, where He died for you, and then rose again three days later. Jesus said, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." (Mar 11:24-25).

Do You Want to Know Him?
If you want to know Jesus personally, you can. It all begins when you repent and believe in Jesus. Do you know what God's Word, the Bible says?

“Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’” (Mar 1:14b-15). He preached that we must repent and believe.

Healed from a Breathing Obstruction

A few months ago at a church I was visiting in Hungary, I was asked to pray for a young lady, who was around thirteen years old.  She had an obstruction in her chest that was interfering with her breathing.  I agreed to do so.  After asking her some questions to understand her condition, I and her pastor laid hands on her, as I prayed for her.

As I prayed, I felt the power of God released. It's much more powerful than electricity, but it doesn't hurt you.  She didn't fall down or jerk her body, but simply stood still.

Afterward, I asked how she felt and she was able to breathe normally.  She said she felt something like heat passing through her body when the healing occurred.  The next day, it was definitely confirmed by her mother that she was completely healed.  And weeks later we heard that she was still completely well.

Praise the Lord.  This is just one of many experiences that I could give.  I do not claim to heal. Only Jesus Christ can heal.  The truth remains that God still demonstrates His mighty power to heal through the laying on of hands by those who believe in Jesus Christ His Son.

My Mother's Going Home to Be With Jesus

Well, I got the phone call today that my mother passed on into eternity to be with Jesus. Naturally, it's difficult, especially living overseas and having just lost my father seven months ago. Of course, we love her and will miss her. But her suffering is all over now, and that relieves us. She had been suffering so much in recent days.

I had visited with her in June for almost two weeks, and the Lord had temporarily restored her health in answer to prayer, which enabled me to enjoy the time together with her. We talked and prayed together and I read Scriptures to her, including Revelation 21, where heaven is described. This really encouraged her. Some of the verses we read included the following:

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, 'Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.' And He who sits on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.' And He said, 'Write, for these words are faithful and true.' " (Rev 21:1-5)

We talked about the fact that she had committed her life to Jesus and was trusting in Him alone for her salvation, and she was ready to meet Him. She was not trusting in her own good works or in her religion to save her, but in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She believed the Word of God where it is written, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." (Eph 2:8). I asked her, "Mom, what do you want the Lord to do for you." She said, "Whatever He wants. If He wants to keep me here longer, I'm ok with that. And if He wants to take me, that's fine, too. I'm ready."

About ten days ago, I spoke with her on the phone and read Psalm 23 and Revelation 21 to her once again. She was especially encouraged at the thought of her eternal home in heaven. It was during one such call with her this month that I told her I released her to the Lord. I wanted her to know that I was not holding her back from going to be with Him.

Last night we had the chance to do a video phone call with her. Unfortunately she had become unresponsive for the past couple days, and was languishing between life and death in her bed at home. She was unable to eat food or drink water any more and could not open her eyes or speak. But we encouraged her, prayed for her, and the children sang some worship songs during the call to lift her spirit.

Later on after the video call, I called a dear elderly friend of mine named Mel, who has been used mightily by God over the course of his life. He has traveled around the world, preaching the gospel, healing the sick, and setting captives free. He's got a great sense of humor and always tells me how many years he has left until he turns 114. When I told him about my mother, he remembered visiting her and my father a few years ago and praying with them both. So he agreed to pay her a visit.

At my mother's home last evening, Mel anointed her with oil and prayed. His prayer was that as the anointing oil ran down Aaron’s beard and over his shoulders, that the healing power of the Holy Spirit would run from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. He then asked for the Lord to bless her with a foretaste of heaven by letting her experience the Shekinah glory of the Lord in her body at that very moment. He said he felt the presence of the Lord so powerfully as he prayed for her.

This morning, she was in her home laying in bed with her family around her. The last time she had opened her eyes a few days ago, they were all jaundiced and could not focus on anyone, but would just roll back and look at the wall while people spoke to her. Her eye lids would only open partially and her eyes looked like they were just swimming in pools of water. My family members were all praying for her this morning, reading Scriptures to her, and releasing her to the Lord. Each one told her they loved her, assured her that she was free to go be with Jesus now, and that they would be all right.

At one point while they were encircled around her bed on their knees praying, Mom opened her eyes for the first time in days and looked right at my sister who was praying. But now she had crystal clear, blue eyes with no signs of sickness in them, and her gaze was focused right on my sister’s face. She was looking right at my sister with healthy, sparkling eyes that were wide open, and a beautiful, peaceful look on her face. The look on her face was one of immense thankfulness that she was ready to meet the Lord and was now going to be with him. This moment lasted about a minute or two. Then she released her grip on my sister’s hand and her eyes closed as she left her body and went to be with Jesus.

We know that at that moment, her spirit came up out of her body and was escorted by God's holy angels into His presence in heaven. What a glorious homecoming she is having now! "To be absent from the body" is to be "present with the Lord." (2 Cor 5:8)

I'm reminded of a dream my daughter had three months ago. In her dream she saw my mother and father in heaven. Their hair was brown and they did not look old. They were wearing white robes and silver belts. And we know that the beautiful, healthy blue eyes my family saw this morning were a glimpse of the complete health she is now enjoying in heaven. For her, there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain.

"For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." (2Co 5:1)
