As we reported previously, one of our Doulos Training School (DTS) graduates, brother John Abugieye (pictured left), conducted an extensive
evangelistic outreach across Nigeria, by the grace of God. Now he has transitioned to Phase II - Conserving the Harvest. The goal in this phase is to follow up on those who got saved during the evangelistic outreach initially, baptize them in water, pray for them to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire, get them into discipleship groups, teach them the basics of being a disciple, equip the saints for works of service, establish new churches, and appoint elders to shepherd those congregations.

Dear Brother Len,
I trust you are doing well. I pray that everything is going smoothly on your end.
Things in Nigeria have been very challenging lately. The killings across the country are becoming too much, and honestly, it has been deeply heartbreaking for me.
Despite these difficulties, the progress of the Nigeria Phase 2 work has been marked by God’s mercy and grace. We have done our best, and God has truly helped us. Currently, fellowship and LTG meetings are ongoing in the locations where fellowships have already started.
At the moment, we have six active discipleship fellowship centers:
1. Obudu Urban Correction Centre
2. Liberty Road
3. Ukwel Obudu
4. Kakum
5. Ohong
6. Igwo
7. Karu Centre 1
8. Karu Centre 2
We are still preparing to begin fellowships in Betukwel, and Kuyia. LTG groups are ongoing with those who can read at least, because many of the souls we gathered are elderly and cannot read. All the fellowships are currently holding in the homes of the disciples. Progress is gradual, but we are moving forward by the help of God.
We are also observing the progress and growth of the disciples before delegating leadership responsibilities. God is faithful, and He is helping us here.
Thank you for your continued support, prayers, and encouragement. We trust God to complete what He has started.
My greatest joy today is that four inmates who started LTG just a week ago have completely stopped smoking. I believe that even more of them will be transformed by the power of God.
One of the inmates pleaded with me sincerely for a Bible. I had to sacrifice my own Bible and give it to him. I encouraged him to begin reading from the Gospel of John and to finish it before our next meeting.
Grace and peace,
Bro John

Dear Brother Len,
Grace and peace to you.
The October meeting was truly a wonderful and impactful gathering. We spent three days focused on gathering the harvest and making disciples, not just the usual outreach approach. Our main goal was to converge, retain, and build the new disciples — and by God’s grace, the results are already visible.
I remember forwarding the decision cards to you earlier. Though I didn’t explain how they were used, I can boldly testify that discipleship fellowships officially began since the week before the last. Yesterday, Brother Stephen went to the location while I traveled to Ukwel Obudu with Pastor John. We ministered to people through deliverance and handled different cases. We received encouraging testimonies of God’s divine intervention in the lives of those prayed for.
In that community, many believe in a local god called Ikwong. During our discipleship fellowship the previous week, I taught them by the power of the Holy Spirit — urging them to turn away from worshipping Ikwong and serve Jesus Christ alone. The teaching came with both the Word and the demonstration of God’s power, and the disciples were deeply touched and strengthened (see photo album at link above).
This is just a small glimpse of what God is doing in their lives. I will send a few pictures soon as evidence of the work.
In addition, the LTG groups in the prison are progressing smoothly. I was there this last Saturday to gather updates. Though many were out for garden work, the few I met with gave a detailed report of their progress. I encouraged them strongly to keep growing even before their discharge.
We give God all the glory for what He is doing.
Yours in Christ’s service,
Bro John

Dear brother Len,
To the glory of God, a few disciples were baptized today in Akaasum (see photo album).

Dear brother Len,
How is everything going? I trust you are doing well.
By God’s grace, we are gathering the harvest gradually! The LTGs (Life Transformation Groups) have been formed. Though not all believers here can read, those who can have been taught the LTG pattern and have started forming the groups.
More updates coming as the work continues! God Bless. (see photos in album).

In the prison, the only thing I can do now is to form an LTG (Life Transformation Groups) among the inmates. The testimonies I’m receiving now are truly amazing. One of the members told me that he used to read the Bible before he was imprisoned, but now he can no longer see clearly. I prayed for him to regain his sight and ability to read the Bible again.
Another man shared that he has never gone to church in his entire life, but now he is asking me to always pray for him so he can live only for Jesus and reflect His image.
Those who have Bibles and can read have joined the LTG group, and the results are remarkable — everyone who joined the LTG has completely stopped smoking. Many others want to join but don’t have Bibles to participate. As I continue working with them, I’m praying and thinking about how to involve even those without Bibles.
Many have also promised to stop smoking. The LTG is really working powerfully here in prison. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to take pictures within the premises, so I may not be able to post any images. I truly wish I could show you photos or videos of the remarkable testimonies happening right now.
I'm going to print all the articles and share to all the groups, as I'm going next to get updates from and make input where necessary.
Thanks,
Bro. John

Dear brother Len,
In Ohong, a discipleship fellowship has already been established. In Ukwel, Obudu, discipleship meetings will officially begin this coming Monday, and they will hold every Monday thereafter. Tomorrow, I’ll be heading to Kuyia for another outreach.
A few days ago, I visited Betukwel, though my mission there wasn’t accomplished because I didn’t meet the person I intended to see. Right now, I’ve sponsored Brother Stephen to Karu, where we’ve gone twice for follow-up visits to finalize arrangements for a new discipleship fellowship. By next week, we’ll be there in full force to officially establish it.
In every place we go, once there’s an open door, we form fellowship meetings to help believers grow.
I’ve also sponsored Pastor John to go to Yala, a far distance, to make arrangements for us to go there soon and establish fellowship with the brethren. In Obudu, a home cell fellowship is already active at Pastor David’s house.
All glory to God for the grace to keep pressing forward. The work continues.

Do You Want to Know Him?
If you want to know Jesus personally, you can. It all begins when you repent and believe in Jesus. Do you know what God's Word, the Bible says?
“Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’” (Mar 1:14b-15). He preached that we must repent and believe.
Please see my explanation of this in my post called "Do You Want to Know Jesus?"
